Mr. Praveen Saxena is a Mechanical Engineer from NIT Durgapur and holds a PGDBM from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. Mr. Saxena, is a power sector professional with over 37 years of multi-faceted experience in the energy value chain, encompassing thermal, gas, hydro, renewables and hydrocarbons along with expertise in M&A, Business Development, Project Execution and international ventures. Mr. Saxena joined NTPC in 1986 and rose through the ranks at NTPC Ltd. (India’s largest power utility), culminating in the role of Regional Executive Director. Mr. Saxena has the demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, drive transformation, manage complex stakeholder environments and execute strategic initiatives across business units and geographies. Mr. Saxena has joined OTPC as Managing Director w.e.f. 01st August, 2025.
